I've tried searching all the books I have and don't know where else to look for what I'm after. I've found a section which details psy-familiars but it doesn't give much variety just a bird. I was looking but couldn't find any of the other traditional familiar type animals. Is there anywhere that details stuff like rats, bats, spiders, owls or cats? Anyone able to help me find something?

Try DH pg 394. Basic generic stat blocks that can be further customized for the specific animal you're looking for if such minute details are required.

Edit:

rats and cats = Walking Creature (just give the rat puny and cut it's str in half or some such)

bats and owls = Flying Creature

spiders = slithering creture perhaps?
