A Game of Thrones: The Card Game players will soon get to explore the Citadel in Oldtown, with the upcoming Secrets of Oldtown cycle. The first Chapter Pack Gates of the Citadel will be out in April, but in the meantime, here is a quick overview of new and exciting events that A Game of Thrones: The Card Game players should be aware of.

In celebration of the highly-anticipated premiere of HBO's A Game of Thrones television series, based on the first volume of George R.R. Martin's fantasy epic, A Song of Ice and Fire, Fantasy Flight Games is proud to present the Hand of the King Tournament.

Join us Sunday, April 17th at the Fantasy Flight Games Event Center in Roseville, Minnesota for a day of A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, featuring the Hand of the King tournament, as well as the Chosen Few deck-building contest Proxy Tournament.

These events will also be held worldwide from April 15th to April 24th at participating venues.

LCG Regionals

While you await the release of Gates of the Citadel, polish off your most worthy deck and prepare for the LCG Regionals. The Regional Championships are your chance to prove your worth among the best players around. Test your best deck against those of your peers for glory, bragging rights, and most of all, fun!

If you’re a retailer or tournament organizer, now is your chance to apply to host a Regional Championship Tournament for Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game, or A Game of Thrones: The Card Game.

Sharpen your Vylarian steel blade and take part in the upcoming LCG Days event at the FFG Event Center in Roseville, MN! Fans of the books and of the games set in the vibrant realms of Martin’s prose are encouraged to experience this show, which is currently riding an unprecedented wave of commercial anticipation.

The Next Chapter

A few minor production errors for the upcoming A Game of Thrones: The Card Game cycle, Secrets of Oldtown, in combination with the Chinese New Year, has caused the printing of Secrets of Old Town to take longer than anticipated. Rest assured, though, production is back on track and the first Chapter Pack Gates of the Citadel should be in your hands in a matter of weeks.
