I have just completed the Ironbreaker career.Which career is the most suitable to follow next in your opinion?
After Ironbreaker what?
What career were you before ironbreaker?
And there's a goodly number. Soldier, Agent, Mercenary ... depends on how the story is taking you.
In previous editions and fluff, dwarfs were Tunnel warrior before ironbreaker... After that I can't say. Sorry.
I think that after the release of Black Fire Pass we will have more good option for Dwarf Players but at this moment it's hard to say. I depends of te campain and what You want Your Hero to be. After Ironbreaker a next good career would still be a combat focus on (Mercenary, Soldier or Pit Fighter) or maybe an adventurer like Investigator or Navigator. You can always choose a special career like Agent or Assasin. You have tons of options , Your choise only depends on what You wish Him to be in the future - that's one of the best thing in this edition.
You can also ask your GM to allow you to redo Iron Breaker... not sure if you'd like that though. But as a houserule it makes sense to allow characters to become an expert Smuggler etc...
Other than that, I suggest/recommend Mercenary. Their Career Talent is quite nifty
Well in WFB lore an elite Ironbreaker champion is called an Ironbeard... and then it's on to Longbeard I think... Can't see how repeating this class is lore breaking in the slightest great fighter but socially weak.

Well, it's not breaking lore, but it is "breaking" the rules since when you are done with a career you can't go back to it according to RAW, but as a GM I would allow re-doing careers if the player wished.
Why not just make a new advanced career called "Ironbeard" tack on leadership and an extra talent slot, give it a balanced talent and you have a none repeating career (they did this for the Witch hunter and the Zealot after all.
I chose Ironbreaker when I created my character.Isn't this possible?Should I have started as Soldier?
So in 1st edition dwarfs had the Engineer, Runescribe, Runesmith's Apprentice, Runner, Troll Slayer, Tunnel Fighter, and Warrior basic careers and the Alchemist, Dragon Slayer, Daemon Slayer, Giant Slayer, Lodefinder, Loremaster, Master Artisan, Master Engineer, Master Runesmith, Mountaineer, Pilot, Rune Lord, Runesmith, Shipmaster, Stoneshaper, and Veteran Warrior advanced Careers.
In 2nd edition there was the Apprentice Runesmith, Runebearer, Shieldbreaker, and Troll Slayer basic careers and the Daemon Slayer, Giant Slayer, Journeyman Runesmith, Master Runesmith, and Runelord advanced careers.
Now in 3rd edition we have the Ironbreaker and Troll Slayer basic careers and the Giant Slayer advanced career.
The first thing that strikes me is that in each successive edition we had fewer and fewer dwarf careers. But, I think that is true of all careers and not just dwarfs. Second the fighter careers have had name changes all along such as Tunnel Fighter/Warrior to Shieldbreaker to Ironbreaker. Okay so Tunnel Fighter is not a very evocative name, but whatever happened to the Shieldbreaker? Sounds like a good basic career that leads to Ironbreaker. I guess FFG could just be doing that very thing but in reverse. Does anyone know if these two careers are part of Warhammer lore, perhaps in Fantasy Battles or Quest or some other form?
Dwarfs in 3rd also have the Miner career, which was part of one of the demo pack for "Journey to Black Fire Pass".
Expect more dwarf careers, of course, from Black Fire Pass.
Honestly, the answer to the OP's question is: It depends on what you want to do with your character.
Do you want him to remain a primarily front-line fighter?
Do you want to round him out and take a less combat-oriented career?
There are all sorts of careers that you *could* switch into. The focus should be, what would your PC be interested in doing? Soldier or Mercenary are probably the closest to an IB as far as careers go at the moment.
I'm thinking Soldier or Mercenary do the job fine. I don't know what else you would want from a career other than the right name.

First of all quite a few of those careers weren't available in the core, they came out in the supplements. 2nd ed would have had more had they gotten round to releasing a dwarf supplement. 3ed has a dwarf supplement on the way.
Second, some of those careers no longer exist as they used to in the canon (alchemist) or else don't require a seperate dwarf career from one already available (veteran warrior). It's not like dwarfs can only be trollslayers, ironbreakers and giant slayers in the new edition.
One of my players started as Miner, now he´s going to Ironbreaker. later he´ll go Merc, unless Black fire pass comes first.
