Make your own chapter...from two years ago

By Frostfire, in Deathwatch

I tried looking up to see if anyone else posted this, but I think it could be of some use to anyone who is trying to make their own chapter and needs some fluff help.

It's designed, I guess, for table top armies, but still pretty complete I think.

It's ok. Expecting for someone to say it's already posted. So feel free. But just sharing the resources when I see 'em

I've not seen it before, so thanks - there is some good stuff in there happy.gif

I've used that guideline before to build my latest TT successor chapter and it was really helpful, infact I'm using that last creation as my playing chapter in DW.

I'd forgotten about this entirely. Thanks for the link!

Everyone should look those guidelines up, I based my TT Chapter on it back when I played W40K (I'm waiting for official Salamanders Rules to convert them to DW). Especially the do's and don'ts are great, save for a few things that have been removed by RoB, like no Space Wolf successors or second founding chapters (you roll a "1" on the chart, then you are a second founding chapter in my book and fluff be damned).

Hahaha. Well, I think they added that as a guideline like they added other things, to keep the mary-sue chapter makers in line, just like "No returning traitor legions or "Don't claim you're one of the missing founding chapters". Baring those, it seems tempting to claim you're a second founding to an MS.

Yeah, but the B&C guidelines have been wrecked by parts of the official rules from RoB. Besides, what does the vaunted second founding give you? Beside some bragging rights? Some of them are almost dead compared to later chapters.

Forgot about B&C! I used those guidelines for the DA successor I run in the TT, should take a look for the new successor I'm building for DW.

That's all Mary Sues are looking for. Bragging rights. Even if you remind them that second founding generally isn't doing so well, they'll still go "Yeah, but we're still second founding!"
