Furious Assault

By Wolf 11x, in Deathwatch

Searchy didn't bring up the answer I needed.

The Blood Angel Techmarine within our group wants to know if he can use Furious Assault to attack with his Combat Knife / Chainsword and then use his Servo-Arm as the follow-up attack.

We were a little undecided (and haven't played enough to really know if that would be imbalanced or not) so we figured we would come here to see how you all play it.

Thanks!

I would say that this would be acceptable. Furious Assault doesn't state that it has to be the same weapon, and the servo-arm rules just say that you can attack with a reaction or a standard attack, but you can only attack with it once per round. I don't see anywhere saying that you couldn't. Then again I play a techmarine so maybe I am biased.

I would allow it, im just surprised he isn't doing 2 attacks with his main weapon.

If he does this however he will have spend his reaction and can only stand there and try to soak any dmg from the Other elites still left standing :)

But you can't parry hordes anyway. happy.gif

I think furious assault is great for techmarines. Their biggest combat strength is the ability to absorb massive damage. Especially once they get to rank 4. You would fare better then other specialties by using your face to parry.
