I don't know about Burrowing Beneath becoming a beercoaster. Without any tricks, it still gets rid of Parallel Universe (The Thing From the Shore, F98.) Still, as long as you see red resources comming down, it's time to reconsider if you want to win through the use of support cards. Because that ain't gonna happen any time soon...
Perhaps, but Shub can now use Shocking for that business... For one more you get a decent permanent out of your support destruction that also synergizes with not only Shocking (to behave like an Event) but can hit again using Shub recursion (Shadowed Woods). BB just seems like a dim bulb compared to the overall power level of the Chthonian eating machine.
I love this card. It has also a good amount of icons despite the strong ability.
Anyone else hyped about the Flux Stabilizer?
This thing is golden against the new rush decks (Furtive Zoog, Dreamlands Fanatic, Intruder from Beyond, Descendant,...)
A strong Chthonian indeed. Destroy support. A game thirsting for good three cost characters.
The name is o.k. What's it doing? It's tearing Dan to shreds. Holy Mary! Oh, I thought it was just grasping.
The picture is fine, a good representation, but not a super scary chthonian for his stats. Indeed it looks awesome, and the agency dude is in classic gear. The beast is massive and rising. It's actually a nice look for the game. I'd like more dirt. and more shreds.
More look to be coming.
I'm pretty sure I've seen the Cthonian art somewhere before - maybe in Arkham Horror?
Anyway, a very nice addition to Shub, and, yeah, I almost missed the equally excellent Flux Stabilizer!
Of course, you'll need to look for ways to protect it, once played. It's good this isn't a location.
If I'm guessing right, the other forthcoming Cthonian cards will also deal with support card destruction in some way. So, Shub will be the primary source for this kind of thing. This almost makes me reconsider the factions for my next deck...

It was also on the Perilous Trials box art, maybe that's where you've seen it?

Who's Dan?
