So am I the only one that's terribly excited about this?!
Also, I'm thinking of rocking out King Joffrey or CS Tywin since they'll ratchet up gold tokens pretty quickly.

Yeah, Tywin was the first card I thought of when reading the rules. Fitting, since Tywin was arguably the best Hand in timeline that the books dealt with. Should be fun.
Haha, I'm not even sure it's arguable. 20 years of peace and prosperity!
I'm pretty sure King Joff and Tywin won't do much as Hands as the rules say that "card effects cannot be used to place or move gold tokens onto or off a player's Hand of the King"
Joff will still count them for STR though...
What happens if you burn a character. Does he keep losing gold until he's out of play?
Can I take control of opponent's Hand of the King?
Cool rules, but like people said, some interesting rule questions...
I'm gonna make Brown Ben Plumm my Hand of the King so he can't be out of play.
When the rules say "printed cost" it's specifically saying that card rules that raise/lower cost don't affect it's cost, correct? I'm thinking of SaS Littlefinger , where his card text reads, "Reduce the cost to play Littlefinger by 1 for each card in Shadows." This would mean that if you had 3 gold on Littlefinger and two cards in the Shadows, he would still not be in play, correct?

Read the rules more carefully
A cost-0 character needs at least one gold token to be considered in play.
Man, it's going to be a huge bummer when my opponent just plays Milk of the Poppy on my Hand.
Also Beric would make an interesting kings hands too, due to the fact that the only way to get coins off him would be to make him trade sides or win a dirrect attack on him. Since he can't die/be discarded any effect that would cause him to go out of play wont take a gold. You could return to hand though. Red Viper as well would be interesting.
Wish I lived closer!
Hmm... why make Beric your hand? Why not the Mad Huntsman or something and essentially have two CBK beasts in your Brotherhood deck?

I can't read or write :-(

Because your Kings Hand is not immue to events or plot effects. Beric CBK or discarded which means you are safe from at least 5 different effects to loose a coin.
As well you can get Beric out by turn four if you choose and use Summoning Season to get Viper or not use that plot at all.
I'm totally goin with
Coldhands
of the King. Just because I like the name
Walder Frey. He'll always be on the winning side of the challenge.

Similarly, you cannot use other "put into play" effects on the Hand to get him into play early because the rules say nothing interacts with the Hand when it isn't in play.
