...But my feeling is that we'll not see any new for Descent.
Q&A with the designer of Runewars project (to show this unannounced game) doesn't promise nothing of good for all the Descent fans....
Your feeling?

I would like to see something new for Descent someday, but I'm not hurting for more right now.
New expansion or second edition, all would be welcome.
Sadly, I think you may well prove to be correct.
The new game was first announced a while ago. This seems to be the headline piece of news for the event which would make it unlikely that there will be news of a new Descent product.
Assuming that Kevin W is going to be involved with new Descent material then it is just possible that he could be starting work on it any time now that Civilization has shipped. If this is the case then it may be too soon to announce anything yet.
I hope that I'm wrong, but I do start to feel that Descent may have reached the end of the road.
Realistically I think the most likely direction for new Descent material would be either a new Quest Compendium, or another advanced campaign. Adding new monsters, would need a lot of revision to Rtl and SoB in order for them to be included, unless they followed the Tomb of Ice template which wold be pretty poor IMHO. I am still confused as to which campaign the Tomb of Ice dungeon and rumor levels fit the best with.
Anyway, I'm starting to ramble again so to summarise...
I'm not expecting any new Descent announcements this wekend, although I shall be keeping a close eye on anything that does get announced on here.

I don't know about which "fits best" but the components are certainly compatible with either one. I don't see any problems with the way ToI handled its AC elements and I think it would work fine if they wanted to make another vanilla expansion that way.

So... what was the new game?!?

Someone knows something???!!!
I'm full-scanning all the web looking for news from Terrinoth....BUT NOTHING OF NOTHING!!
New game? New Descent stuff? Other Terrinoth's addictions?
WHAT'S UP???
The new game is "Rune Age" , a deck building game by Cory K. Play as any of the factions found in "Runewars". Its a pretty nifty game with multiple scenerios, pvp and objectives for 1-4 players. I got lucky enough to be picked to play it at the Realms. As far a descent goes there are 4 new dungeons in the handbook including the "2010 Delve of Doom" and a really slick "Tower of Terror". Heroes in the tower that fall into a pit fall all the way to the towers base. Ouch!
Thank you, Maggotbrain!
So, sadly, nothing for Descent....
Any residual hope for this?

Nooooo, Nooooooo *cry* no descent stuff.....
Well I guess 4 new dungeons is cool, is there a way to get them if you did not attend the event?
Thanks in advance if you know.
Oh I was so hoping for some descent stuff!
Ugh, a card game. I hate card games...

A Terrinoth card game it's a bad new!
I mean, Descent forum is the most popular on the FFG web site, with tons of fans all over the world: FFG should know this!
And ALL of us claim a new expansion for this game, or at least new stuff to bring more freshness to the title.
FFG, you shouldn't ignore this, no longer....
Next hope? GenCon 2011, of course....

I understand how you feel. Especially if all the artwork is just recycled from other cards in the previous games.
On the other hand, this game sounds like it will be primed for more setting information in the form of flavour text, so I'm looking forward to that at least. =)
i don't know how I feel about another card game. Honestly, I dig Warhammer Invasion, and look forward to the Lord of the Rings card game, but, Rune Wars as a card game sounds like well..I don't know. I was hoping for a Ocean focused campaign of Rune Wars.

Is it a LCG or a Cardgame like Death Angel?
It's a stand alone deck building game like Dominion. I thought it was pretty fun and definitely begs for expansions, especially to add more players.

Hmm. I'm quite fond of Dominion, but after playing some games that tried to imitate it, I've decided one of the things I like most about it is the colossal amount of playtesting and rigor in the rules, which are two things FFG is definitely not known for. A good heroic fantasy deck-building game would be welcome, but I was already gravely disappointed by Thunderstone, and with FFG's track record would tend to assume this will be bad until I see some evidence to the contrary.
No offense, sputang: playing it once at a convention will hardly uncover all of a game's flaws, and I read similar anecdotes about Thunderstone.
