Who all is going to Minnesota in April?

By Laguna2, in UFS General Discussion

I actually have an opportunity to make it to this event because I'm going to Chicago for Passover, which starts 10ish days before the event. I'll just have to stay a bit longer in Chicago because its not like I'm needed or need to be anywhere (...the quintessence of my life). I can also coordinate with the other Winnipeg players or some other random UFS people during the event. I'm pretty sure that I can get my exams out of the way before I leave. My only problem is getting access to new cards to build a deck, after which I'd like to playtest the crap out of it (hint, hint). I want to build a deck that's comparable to my Yun-Seong.

Must timewalk for updates.

Hey guys,

Here are a couple answers to questions I saw in this thread:

admission cost: free (well you need at least one patch to get in but that's it:) no con badges, etc.

format: block 3 main event, we will also have some other fun events going on which we will announce very soon.

we will also post the closest hotels with rates, etc in the next couple of weeks. We are also looking into trying to get special rates for the event.

Hope that helps, more soon.

see you in the arena,

Steve

I would MAYBE be able to make it if this happens. Being brokesauce = not cool. Provided I drive like a mofo. If the rates aren't that bad and I share costs with someone who'd come down with me. Then again I need my passport now GAH.

So yeah likely not gonna make it.

Gonna need that for all the majors outside of Canada... passports last for 5 years, and if you do it in advance, it's actually fairly cheap all things considered.

By the by that would be important useful information to sticky in the Tournament Announcements area if there is such a thing. But yeah I should get right on that.

Except that at 2 in the morning I doubt I can fill every single part.

Not true. Checkout Passport Canada. You don't need your passport til June 1st 2009. Until then u can get by with the same amount of ID as before (i always use my drivers license + birth cert. but i REALLY should get on the whole passport thing lol.)

Yeah but if I can go to the ECC this year again I will most certainly need it.

I will be there with my good friend and podcast host Scott Gaines and I think I convinced Havoc to go as I think as of now we are staying with Kimano thanks again dude for hooking us up !!

The ten am start time on saturday (well registration...) is pushing it. I suppose that makes sense, and I shouldn't have thought otherwise...

It is much less likely now for me. If it matters to the OP. Laters.

Sign ups for the first event start at 10am, the event itself will start between 11:30am and noon. There will also be a bunch of other events going on all weekend.

See you in the arena,
