You're allowed four copies of each card in a deck. The only restrictions are the format you're playing in and the current banned list. If you have cards with shurikens printed in the text boxes, count the number of points on the shurikens. If it's a 4 point, it's a Block 3 legal card. If it's a 3 point, it's a Block 2 legal card. And if there's no shuriken at all, then it's a Legacy legal card.
i am working on building a Darkstalkers deck based off of Morrigan from Realm of Midnight set witch has 4 points on it so any suggestions on what to put in the deck
Well, for starting out it's easier to try a deck made rom a single resource. Those are the circles in the middle of a card. Morrigan from that set has three resources: Death, Good and Water. Pick one, then you can add cards that have that symbol to the deck until you can understand resource restriction.

Welcome to the Arena!
In UFS you may have up to four copies of a card in your deck.
A UFS deck must have a minimum of sixty cards. There is no maximum limit as to how many cards are allowed in a deck (provided there are no more than four copies of each card in your deck).
The character card that represents the UFS Character you are fighting as counts as part of your deck for both the sixty card minimum deck size and the rule of four copies per card.
why would you need more than char card in a deck

You want to put cards in your deck that match the symbols Morrigan has on her character card (cards with the Death, Good or Water symbol). A really good start would be any cards that have all three of these symbols (Death and Good and Water). In the Realm of Midnight set, all of the cards associated with Morrigan have all three of these symbols and are generally designed to work with the Morrigan character card from that set. Think of these cards in terms of Morrigan's move-set from a fighting game or her own personal martial arts style - they are designed to be used with her character card and her abilities.
Other than those cards, I would recomment cards with the Death, Good or Water symbol from any of the following sets: Domination, Cutting Edge, Realm of Midnight, Deadly Ground, King of the Fighters, Flash of the Blades, Warriors Dream or Flames of Fame. These are the most recent UFS sets and generally are the cards that most players will be using at the moment.
In particular, the Flames of Fame and Warriors Dream sets contain many cards that have either or both the Good and Water symbols. As these are also the latest sets, they may be a good place to turn to, after the Realm of Midnight set.

All character cards also have a control check (the six in the bottom-right corner) and a block (top-right corner). Since in UFS you have to overturn cards from the top of your deck to make control checks, having extra cards in your deck with a six control check on them (all character cards have a six control check) means if you overturn a character card when making a control check, that control check will be a six. As all character cards also have very easy to succeed at blocks (the "+0" mid block on the top-right of any character card), a character card can be an easy way to defend against an opponents attack.
Since they are the same card, any extra copies of a character card from your starting character will share all their symbols with your starting character. That way you'll always be able to play them as blocks no-matter what other cards you have in your hand (assuming all cards in your deck share at least one symbol with your starting character meaning that they can be successfully played by your starting character).

I fully agree i still play magic from now and again but i build decks to have fun not compet because i hate running the same deck as everyone else what fun is that but when people start talking down to me like i don't know how to play that when i pull decks out where there are saying what the F--- witch that is fun to that is why i am looking into learning UFS i am looking for some one that lives near Clermont FL so i can learn all the rules not some of them
Mind you, there ARE players like that even in UFS, but from my personal experience it's not common.
That's one of the things I like about UFS, and it's due to one thing: no cash prizes. As soon as cash enters the picture, people transform. Instead, prizes for tournaments are promo cards. So you're rewarded with relevant stuff, not to mention free freaking promos, but never money.

UFS players have their problems, but overall their a pretty good bunch. i credit mt_do with geting me into the game. becuase he gave me a rulebook (a very confusing rulebook with poor wording mind you) i learned to play the game. UFS has good comunity (minus myself).
