Witch's Song

Hmmm,

i was afraid of this.

The new adventure has taken a page from the Creature Vault. All the monster stats are completely card based. Some may like this but I prefer to not have to go sort through and find my cards when I get around to running this adventure. It's a bit of a pain to keep them separate.

I guess I really liked the other adventure books where your monsters were in the book, ready to go.

I solved this by having a specific deck box in which I put all the cards that will be used during the current adventure. That is mainly creatures, locations, actions and some item cards.

Then I sort those cards in use-order, So when I pick up the location cards for example the first location of the adventure is the top card. Takes some preparation, but makes the use of all the cards smooth throughout the adventure. Then when the session is over, it's easy to put the cards back into the deckbox for storage.

Yes, I think no one has mentioned this before but that's true. In The Witch's Song campain book You will not find any Talents, Actions,Careers or Monster stats. It all comes on cards!

I have all of my cards page-sleeved, with all the content from a given adventure sleeved together.

Other alts: since all of the data is on 1 side of the cards, lay them out on a copier and copy them as a single sheet.

If you have a scanner, you can lay out the spread for a creature and create your own "page"

Rob

there are creature cards in Witch's Song you might yet have from Creature's Vault (stats only are also in the Guide).
