Purely hypothetical-yet-possible question:

By LinkN, in Battlestar Galactica

Ok, first off, this question is purely hypothetical. While it could happen, I highly doubt that it will.

With that said, let's say that one of the skill card decks is out of cards. The discard pile is also out of cards. The new FAQ says that if that's the case, no one draws any cards from that deck until some cards are discarded. First question: if the destiny deck has to be replenished while a deck is completely out, is that deck skipped?

Now, the next question. Let's say that one of the decks has only one card left in it (and no discards), and it's time to replenish the destiny deck again. Since there's only one card in one of the skill decks, the destiny deck will end up with 9 cards. Meaning, four skill checks later, there will be one card left in the destiny deck. When another skill check is drawn, is only one card added from the destiiny deck?

Based on what is in the FAQ, I'd have to go with yes. What holds true for the players should also hold true for the Destiny Deck in this situation. I would wait, however, until cards from the DD were required for a skill check, as there are other ways that cards can be discarded from the player' 'hands.

In this case, since the DD adds two cards to the current skill check I'd create a new Destiny Deck and then add the second card into the current check. This will make the DD off by one card for the rest of the game, but seems to be the right way to go about it, imho.

I'd skip the pile with only one card in it and leave the destiny deck even.

What I would do is leave the odd card in and keep playing.

When you get down to one the last card, just discard it and draw a new destiny deck.

This is probably the best solution I've heard.

The only flaw here is that everyone would know what that last card was and it might go a ways towards making it easier to detect Cylon behavior.

Yes, but you gain no more info than you get from any of the other solutions people have brought up. For example if you just leave that color out of the destiny deck all together then everyone will know immediately if an unrevealed cylon wanted to play one of those color cards as a negative. So since you gain some insight into cylon behavior from every solution, I'd still say Mr. Rich's idea seems like the best.

Hopefully since this really is a freak occurance, it won't happen enough times to ever be a problem.
