Anyone else notice that according to the suggested requirements for these honours, that it is easier to get the Iron Halo (Captain rank) then it is to get the Iron Skull (Sergeant rank)?

I found it a little silly that the Iron Halo only suggests one successful mission as leader vs the 2 suggested to get the Iron Skull.

It's one other honor or two missions for the skull. For the halo, you have to have selected the specialty, and you have to complete all primary and secondary objectives.

For Captain, you have to have the crux terminatus, and a renoun of 60 and rank 6.

The Iron Halo can only be earned by Captains, meaning that obtaining one requires earning the Crux Terminatus (a challenge in its own right) and distinguishing yourself as a leader sufficiently to be accepted as a Captain (possibly earning the Iron Skull on the way) before you attempt the relatively simple matter of trying to earn the Iron Halo.

Perhaps it is because the Iron Halo was originally the symbol for a Squad Leader, not a Captain. Squad Leaders acted as second-in-command for the Squad's Sergeant. When Combat Squads were removed in 3rd ed, so where Squad Leaders, and the Iron Halo went on to mean different things.

Personally, I will be running the Iron Halo under its old meaning, with different requirements.
