i'm considering allowing successor chapters with the new rules in rites of battle but am a bit stymied by the consecrator special ability to start with a mastercraft standard piece of wargear. while the rules for mc'ed weapons and armor have their own nice boxes, is there a paragraph somewhere where mc-wargear bonuses are written? i've considered proposing using the signature wargear (master) bonus of rerolling the skill checks using the kit but frankly that looks waaay too powerful. using the relic jump pack in RoB as a basis (meaning that mastercrafted stuff is usually worse than relic equipment of the same type), i figure a +10 to pilot personal checks and a +1 to your base movement should cover it. that way it's slower than the relic version (which triples your speed) and follows the weapon MC'rules (in that it provides a +10 to use it and a small numerical bonus to the effect). ideas?
any official stats for mastercrafted nonweapons?

The descriptions of most non-weapon wargear should already include information for Exceptional+ Quality examples of said items.

A MC'd jump pack may not be better in stats than normal. A very attractive option would be to have a relic jump pack that would replace the normal power supply and is only slightly larger, but provides normal jump pack movement without the bulk. All of a sudden the AM can go places he would normally be denied due to the bulk of his jump pack.

unfortunately, not in this case. the jump pack entry is blank on the subject.

thats a great idea for a relic one. its a bit much for a simple mastercrafted version but a movie iron man flight system sounds pretty cool for a relic!
The BA Jump Pack in RoB tripples movement rate instead of doubling it, among other effects. Sure, it's a relic, but "better quality" none the less.

I did say relic didn't I....
Well, I would consider it a really, really, really, awesomely mastercrafted example......maybe call my previous example Archeotech instead of Relic.
The Relic version uses a non-promethium fuel source that burns cold and has no noticeable exhaust and is quiet. Allowing for near silent jumps.
Effect : Make a Challenging(+0) pilot personal check and you may use the silent move skill at the end of your jump.
Hmm...Raven Guard may get a little upset if they see anyone using one of these.
May have to make a formal write up of these two items.
