Actually, doesn't look all that interesting, Mythos cards only mention base game AH, which would mean no cards for DH and IH. More location encounter cards, so-so, on one hand, nice to have those, but since encounters are a minor part of the game experience for me, so very meh on the other hand.

Also, more Epic Battle? More Green cards to make sure you're guaranteed never to see a Red card?

It's possible that they just didn't want to write "New Mythos Cards" 7 times.

Yet bothered to write "x Location" three times? No mention of base game Location cards, so presumably they feel 30+ per neighborhood is enough. No mention of either of DP, KiY or BGotW related encounter cards, much use cards to those expansions will do without them. BGotW, at least you see the Cult with the Herald, but people are too scared to use him lengua.gif . Act cards for KiY are nice, but more Blights? It's not like the Terror track got any longer.

Well, lets wait and see. If this is really the expansion expansion I've been waiting for (fixing all the dillution problems), then yes - I am super excited! I just hope they covered all cases.

My guess, for the epic battle cards, is that you wind up with only 8 green and 8 red. Jeez Dam, never seeing a red card is better than never seeing either green or red because you refuse to buy Kingsport.

I have plenty of cards that l have never drawn yet.

l would rather see an up todate FAQ/Errata and maybe all the cards with errors on corrected, and issued in a small expansion, if Miskatonic Horror had all the corrected cards in aswell l would be tempted to buy it.

Oh I very much hope they print out the Dark Pharoah Herald card. I was going to do it myself at where I work (a school photography company) but I was dreading getting the awkward stares from the baseball card department here when I ask them to do it for me. Plus we don't have the right card stock...

Also it'd be funny if as an easter egg/joke they printed the Penny-Arcade guardian and characters and slipped them in without telling anyone.

Weird occult occurrences at an obscure university, inhabited by strange professors keeping dark secrets and hiding ancient knowledge from the world. Great setting for horror. :-)

This is excellent news. Hopefully the Cult encounters for the Black Goat will be a lot more useful as most of them weren't that beneficial. Options such as "draw a Corruption card to reduce the Doom Track by one."

Including Daoloth would be a nice touch. I'd also like eleven new allies to take the Ally count to forty five. This way all the Allies can be at Ma's and you can reduce them by the level of the Teror Track.

New Innsmouth Look cards sound interesting. do you think there will be some half-way houses rather than all-or-nothing. Stuff like eczema appearing around your neck (-2 Stam) or strange dreams (-2 Sanity)

Anybody tried printing out the Organised Crime Institution and giving it a shot?

An Insititution that allowed us to buy Exhibit Items would be nice. Failing that, I guess we can always house rule that they can be bought from Misk U Streets (the Museum) for $4 a crack.

Finally, I wonder if FFG should hold a design-a-card contest. I'm sure they'd get plenty of entries.

I’m extremely curious to see if these are Encounters in a Dunwich that’s aware that there’s an Innsmouth, but frankly, an extra stack of these will do fine in my Dunwich-only games anyhow.

Same reaction as to Dunwich, except, pound for pound, I always have more Encounters in Kingsport because of the Rifts, so these might be even more welcome.

Just Green and Red? Or maybe an extra Sinister Plot so all the card counters might not know what the third one will be? (Assuming you make it that far…Tibs’ variant makes this much more viable.)

Over 20 new Cult Encounter cards for The Black Goat of the Woods

Mixed on this one. My problem was never the Cult Deck; it was the lack of Encounters that would allow me to join the Cult in the first place! On the other hand, perhaps an Institution will make membership easier, and a Cult Deck that actually provides an incentive to join the Cult would not be unwelcome.

Reckoning cards for Lurker at the Threshold

…ehhhh, I dunno. bostezo.gif The forum kinda sucked the fun out of the Lurker Herald, and I’m over it. Bloating the Reckoning Deck won’t really increase any fear of it; like the Cult Deck, it’s not the deck that’s the problem, it’s the rules that dole the deck out. Unless there’s an extra influx of cards that punish people for NOT having Power, I really don’t see the point of this without reprinting the Pact cards and the Lurker itself.

Plus new Player reference sheets and a new Institution variant!

This seems like a fun idea, but I read the Organized Crime one, and…it looks like crime pays quite beneficially. And with Agent Holland (CoC LCG Fed) visible on the next one, and Miskatonic obvious on the last…is there going to be a mix of these? Good AND bad organizations, like the Lodge or the Cult? Because I’m not certain I could stomach another grouchy round of “These are just more Guardians, dammit!” preocupado.gif

At any rate…it’s MORE, and it’s BIG. babeo.gif Two things the naysayers kept saying we’d NEVER get. So pleased that they were wrong. Thanks, FFG, for not forgetting about us!

I'm planning on doing that soon. I guess there's a chance, though, that without the rules, something important might be missing. As jgt7771 suggests, Organized Crime is nothing but beneficial (seriously, how is there not a negative attached to that??). So either it's another guardian in the form of a herald (like the Lurker, only moreso), or perhaps there's something about the use of Institutions that is meant to balance that (e.g. when using an Institution, add a doom token to the track during setup). I kind of doubt that's the case, but it could be...

I notice that the other Institutions mention "Expedition markers" and "Agent tokens", so apparently there are other materials that come with the Institutions. Maybe there's a deck of bad stuff cards that's supposed to be used with Organized Crime... but in that case, the sheet probably would/should have mentioned that. In any case, for now I'll use Organized Crime when playing against the Black Goat herald, or something else that's particularly hard.

Yep, I'm with JJ on this, finally a card that seems to hit the spot. You have both a detriment and a benefit, which should be the logic behind this kind of encounters. Hopefully even the other ones will follow the right path

Anyone wanna bet that the new manual will be the new FAQ? If all the rumors of how big it will be hold true, this would be the best way to make sure it gets out to everyone...

... That's a great idea. A herald or variant that makes investigators without power lose one sanity or stamina per turn.

Hey, I resent that! I am a naysayer and I said it was possible ;'D I thought it was a good idea, and I believe companies try to increase their profits, so why not?

And yeah... The crime institution looks like a herald... Plus it *still* didn't appropriately incentivize Sheldon Gang membership. Who in their right mind would get that instead of a retainer? RPers? I rest my case ;'D

Amazing. FFG has done a really good job listening to our requests to expand expansion material. I thought I would never live to see a day like this!

I hope they are addressing the dilution affect from adding the other expansions.

I have to agree somewhat here with Dam, I would have thought that expansion location Mythos cards would be the first thing on their list for an expansion expansion...

Still, looks like a concerted step in the right direction... I think I am going to make some of my own Dunwich location opening mythos when I get a chance...

And wont adding only base game mythos just make the dilution problem even worse???
