Hahaha, that made me laugh much more than it really should have.

I think it is the duty of every Tournament Organizer from now on to make sure everyone is pronouncing every card properly, and eject players for repeated offenses.

Catelyn Stark - CAT-lin STARK ("cat" like the animal)

Maester - MAY-ster

Ser - SAIR

Yeah, anyone mispronouncing these should get tossed.

I am little disappointed that Q's as in "Qarth" are getting the "u" added in for the official pronunciation.

Listening to the audiobooks makes knowing how to pronounce the names easy

@Skeletonator - thanks for posting. Very interesting!

@Darksbane - problem is: how do you know the audiobooks used the "official",sanctioned, and/or same pronunciation as the producers of the series?! Hopefully the same, or else there will be even MORE confusion! (I already found that at least a dozen pronunciations I had been using myself over the last 5 years are incorrect...)

Well, Dotrice made some odd choices there, most notably with Littlefinger. I always suspected that Puh-TYRE is not the pronounciation Martin had in mind for that character. Interesting that this has been changed to PEE-tuh.

I also always found that Bry-EEN for Brienne, like Dotrice pronounced it, is kinda strange. I always figured it should be BREE-ann. Let's see how her name will be pronounced when she shows up next season.

I've read that GRRM's pronunciation of Brienne is bree-enn-ee, three syllables. (Yes, it seems odd to me too)

Still no idea how to pronounce Chella daughter of Cheyk

During 2 Champs and a Chump interview with George R R Martin, Zeiler brought up Dickon Manwoody. I'm glad that one got cleared up :)
