Toadify

By Biergarden, in Talisman Rules Questions

One character is attacking another character. The attacker states he is attacking with craft as part of his special ability, while the defender states he is casting the Toadify spell. The attacker is successfully turned into a toad. Will the attacker, who stated he is attacking in craft still able to attack and if he does attack will he be attacking with strength or will he be attacking with craft as his intentions were?

Thanks for your thoughts...

If a Character declares he's attacking in psychic combat, then Toadify CANNOT be used because it is cast only when you're about to engage in battle (Strength combat).

But to answer your implicit question "can a Toad attack in psychic combat" the answer is NO, because he cannot use any of the original Character's Special Abilities. He cannot initiate Psychic Combat (still he can fight against Craft Enemies or choose to use Craft against Enemies like Cerberus or Lord of the Pit). However, this is academic talking because as a Toad all these options don't change the substance of things (you're very likely to get beaten).
