Creature Vault - "revel in corruption" bugged??

By Ghiacciolo, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Omg...just checked now in preparation of our next session: ToA states that the mutant gains [Yellow] if critically wounded, the same action on the card says he gain [White]....those are the things that piss me off the most!! c'mon FFG pay some attention!! now i will forever have this fixed thing in my mind to check whit books every card i pick up from the vault...****!

What does the creature guide says?

Is it on both sides of the card?

Red side state:

If the Cult Mutant is critically wounded, the attack gains one white die

Wait... It has different effects depending on stance? That's normal, not an error.

Confused...

I meant it state that in the Creature guide on the RED side, the green side does not have that line of text.

But in ToA it's a yellow die, there is no red/green side in the ToA

Think of this as an errata. I don't see a mistake here and I think that was made on purpose.

yeah...i mean that in Tome of Adventure (core box) "revel in corruption" is the same of the vault's red side card, except that

per ToA: "If the Cult Mutant is critically wounded, the attack gains one [yellow] die"

per C.Vault: "If the Cult Mutant is critically wounded, the attack gains one [white] die" <<<< the Vault card really underpower the mutant abilities...

It seems to me more of a mistake than a totally uneeded errata. Or the purpouse of the vault is also giving errata??! i never heard so before...

Don't have my content; but does the Vault match the Guide? Or does the Guide match ToA?

No, ToA says a yellow die and Guide says a white one (and I guess the Vault card too)

The white die does make more sense...

Anyone spotted more "mistake/revision" on creature guide/vault compared to core box?

lol i cant believe they are "fixing" (?) such minuties meanwhile we still dont have proper faq'ed aqhsy, double strike, rapid fire cards printed...nor more BASIC ACTIONS cards...but i found myself whit 3 (Threee!!!) channeling power cards... partido_risa.gif

A small tangent:

Actually, the Double Strike, Rapid Fire and Order cards from my Player's Vault all match the errataed versions found on FFG's WFRP support page. The Player's Vault also came with 3 of each Basic action card. If you're looking for those things, it may be worth picking up.

Personally I don't see myself even opening the ToA anymore since the Creature Vault/Guide repeats all the info anyways and I'm more pissed for errors between the guide and vault then difference from the ToA. And going from a yellow to white die is not that big of deal really. If it was from a purple to yellow die, for example, now THAT would be bugged.

Dont know if u are a GM...but if u remove the ability to do critical damage via yellow dice from a creature...well, that's a big difference enough in planning an encounter for ur player...

And above else, FFG should make the courtesy to summarize all the "changes" it made to core material, just out to simply customer care: since we've dished out like 100$ for the core box (wich was definitely what made this game fortune, if this RPG had any) i think i'm entitled to know how far the game's rules i own are outdated.

Yeah, I'm DM in my group and sure I know it IS a difference and it does suck that FFG can't keep everything coherent from a book to another. Same thing with the change to the spear, you would not know about it unless you get Player's guide (or read this forum). A nice big fat erreta should be on it's way (hopefully)

Spear? What's with the spear?

It's now:

Spear - DR5 CR3 Group:spear Qualitites:Fast, Unreliable 2 Cost: 20s Enc:4 Rarity:Plentiful

Spear - Can be used with shield. Wielded two-handed, increase damage by 1. May be effectively thrown up to Short range.

Hmm, I knew about the change to the rules on fast but I had no idea that they made Spear unreliable! That's a pretty big change that should be in the FAQ on the support site. Don't want to take this thread too far off topic so I'll leave it at that, thanks for the info.
