I'm pritty new to Deathwatch but not to rpg's, one of the hardest things for me is coming up with good names for people, places and things. Does anyone have any suggestions. If so they would be appreciated.
Name's Anyone
Steal names. Try and avoid the likes of Bob, Dave or Smith, but otherwise you're good. Clavell, Goto, Bjørn, just looking at my bookshelf now.
I realise that there is more to it than that really, it depends what/who you're trying to name. The above suggestion is best for humans, especially IG.
Marines tend to have themes that can help you, Blood Angels are either Angelic or Vampiric, Space Wolfs are Viking/Scandanavien, Ultramarines are Roman/Greek, etc..
Planets and aliens are harder, although again try and follow a theme.
Use those ideas and maybe a random name generator online. Hope this helps.
I created some extra Space Marine names on this thread:

-And the Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader rulebooks have lists of common Imperial names. If you didn't want to buy them, you could probably find someone at your local game store willing to photocopy them for you.
Beyond that, there are a ton of Black Library books set on the 40k universe- check your local library if you are just looking for names to swipe.
I don't know... Putting "Brother" in front of a lot of names just makes them better, strangely... My players drew names from a lot of historical works. "Brother Saul" "Brother Gaius" "Brother Tarther", and "Brother Krathus". I recognize Saul from the bible, maybe? Gaius is roman. Tarther is from the Arthurian legends. (A variant of 'Arthur') I think Krathus was just made up. But when you add "Brother" to the front of it, it becomes awesomely Adeptus Astartes.
I quite like http://www.kleimo.com/random/name.cfm with obscurity set to 99.
As mentioned earlier 40k tends to have certain patterns in naming and steals liberally from everything (I'm a lover not a hater).
A fantastic example lies with the Night Lord primarch Konrad Curze
"The name of the Primarch, Konrad Curze, is a combination of Joseph Conrad and his famous work Heart of Darkness, of which Kurtz is a central character." - Wikipedia

Not to mention his home planet, Nostramo, which comes from another of Conrad's books.
Also, the assassin that kill Curze, M'Shen, is based on a certain actor from Apocalypse Now.
The More You Know!
Most Space Marine Chapters resemble an particular ethnicity or area.
Space Wolf names are very nordic, Storm Warden names are very scottish, latin and roman names are also common.
you can try: www.behindthename.com, it has literally thousands of names, which you can sort by letter or origin.

Roman names is most prevalent as High Gothic is a bastardized version of Latin. Dark Heresy has a random names table.
