Any sign of Rites of Battle in the UK?

By Lightbringer, in Deathwatch

Is anyone aware of this being for sale yet in the UK? It seems karma is punishing my gloating over getting FFG books before the US by ensuring there's no sign of this one over here yet ! sad.gif

I asked Leisure Games, and their suppliers could only say "some point in February".

Grrrrr. Annoying, I'm looking forward to this! Thanks, Millandson.

No worries happy.gif

I've been checking Leisure Games, Gameslore, and Orcs Nest sites regularly but not seen anything yet.

Gameslore still has it listed as "Upcoming" :(

Who would you guys recommend in terms of prompt delivery? Personally I've always experienced good service from Orcs Nest, occasionally receiving an order a day after release.

Its not next week anyway. It didnt appear in Esdeviums new releases. If you want to know when FFG titles are coming out in the UK just check Esdeviums new release page that gets put up every friday as they distribute all the FFG stuff in the UK.

Thanks for the head's up! <sob>. When it finally arrives, I suspect I will temporarily turn into a gangrel, grey-skinned creature, muttering about the "preciousssss."

According to a friend of mine who works in Eclectic Games in Reading, Rites of Battle is due in this Tuesday (so says Eclectic's Facebook page, where they tend to announce the biggest releases of any given week). Whatever issues were holding up the book at Esdevium's end must clearly have been resolved. Eclectic have ordered 20 copies, 18 of which have already been reserved for customers (including myself), so if anyone plans to buy their copy in Reading, do so promptly.

I ordered mine from Maelstrom, and their best guess was "Hopefully soon".

So... yeah... hopefully soon! gui%C3%B1o.gif

Good thing too; my Deathwatch game runs on Wednesday night, so I've got Tuesday night and parts of Wednesday (breaks at work, the bus home, etc) to digest the book before I let my players retcon their characters with the new options.

I've ordered my copy of Rites of Battle too, hopefully it'll arrive for Wednesday or so happy.gif

Gameslore gameslore gameslore, oh and gameslore. They always seem to get stuff before anyone else in the UK. Subscribe to their newsletter and you'll know the second an FFG item is in stock.

Eclectic Games in Reading got theirs yesterday; 18 of the 20 copies in their delivery were pre-reserved for various customers (my group included), so they may already be out of stock...

I got a confirmation mail from leisure games today that my copy is in the mail.

Friday morning and I've still not got my copy from Leisure Games, despite receiving a shipping email on the 8th. Is it me or has the postal service still not returned to how it was before all the snow earlier this winter?

Got my copy on wednesday from Orc's Nest, been slowly digesting it. Rather enjoying it so far, especially the Watch Fortress Erioch stuff! happy.gif

Got mine yesterday...

Power players paradise!

Is there any date when it will be provided as digital download through Drivethru RPG. Me and my players here in Germany can“t wait to get their hands on it and it takes a long time to arrive in old Europe. :(

It is Odd to me that I got my copy weeks ago here in America. Isn't 40k an english thing? I thought it was more popular there, I have only a small group of people I know here in my hometown that even know what it is(though many know of the video game of corse).

You're right in that 40K (and Games Workshop in general) is an English thing, but FFG are based in the US, so it stands to reason that copies make it to US-based stores first.

In other news, my copy, ordered via Maelstrom Games UK, arrived about 10 mins ago. Such a wonderful book - even has an index at the back!

The last few book have arrived in the UK before the US. Its purely a case of when they arrive from the manufactuers in China. Sometimes they arrive in the UK first and others the US.

Back to my original question: Does anybody know when Rites of Battle will be published as digital download. As far as I know the last books took about a week to be published digitally after initial release.

Normally takes between 1 to 4 weeks from what i remember depends on how much people want it and as this will sell well i would think we will see it sooner rather than later.
