Good Looks

By shinjukujackal, in UFS Rules Q & A

Good Looks reads: R Commit: Before you draw any number of cards, add X cards from your momentum to your hand instead. X equals the number of cards you would have drawn.

Question #1: If you use this R and after drawing all your momentum you still don't have your full hand size, do you then draw as normal to meet your full hand size?
Question #2: When taking cards from your momentum using this card are you able to look at the cards and choose which cards to take?

-thanks

Question #1: I don't think you'd be able to draw as normal because the text includes the word instead and it specifies the amount of cards you would have drawn.

Question #2: You can't look at your momentum to select what cards you want to draw because it does not specify that you can.

What most players do is place their momentum in a pile or a row overlapping, so if an ability like this would draw from the momentum, they woudl take from the top or from one side to the other.

For #1 the card says you get the cards from your momentum instead, so once you're out of momentum you're done, you don't go back to drawing cards.

For #2, you don't get to look at the cards that are facedown in your momentum, but Good Looks doesn't say "random cards" so you can add whichever cards from your momentum pile that you want to add - from the top, the bottom, or the middle. You just can't look at the cards until you've already picked them up to add to your hand.
