Sergeant in the Deathwatch

Hi all,

I was looking at the lexicanum http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Deathwatch and i found out that Deathwatch as Sergeant are they just space marine like the other, meaning that whoever is chosen as the leader of the kill team the sergeant will follow him, or are they special unit ??

In the Deathwatch RPG, there are no Deathwatch sergeants. Memebers may have been sergeants before joining the DW, but one there, they are all members of the Kill-Team (excepting Watch Captains and his buddies). Leaders are selected on a per mission basis, but some teams might have more-or-less permanent leaders by choice.

Rank held in their parent Chapter means nothing in Deathwatch, save as an honourific, I believe.

If a Brother is given charge of a Kill-Team, then he is the ranking member, even if the team includes 4 Captains and 2 First Company Sergeants!

Exactly, my character is a Wolf Guard in the Space Wolves but would have to follow the chosen leader of the kill team, if someone else was chosen for the honor....
