Scurvy Cutthroat and Shadows Attachment

By Darksbane, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Scurvy Cutthroat - Response: After an opponent plays an attachment card, discard Scurvy Cutthroat from play (cannot be saved) to discard that attachment from play.

Wolfgang and I were wondering how this card interacts with shadows attachments. I was thinking that this card couldn't touch a shadows attachment because they are put into play (Using the reasoning from from this thread and this thread) Wolfgang thinks they would still be considered played for the purposes of Cuttthroat.

Cards aren't put into play when brought out of the Shadows. So Scurvy Cutthroat doesn't work against attachments like Pinch of Powder, Venomous Blade, etc.
