Basic actions for 5 PCs...

By mantooth012, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hey gang,

I am currently running a group with 5 other people in which we are playing another role-playing game. But I am thinking of changing things up as I am not so sure that the system we are playing is the most ideal for us (Storyteller system - Vampire: The Requiem). I have been collecting the new Warhammer Fantasy stuff in hopes of rolling it out someday with someone.

Just so happens that I may try to roll it out with this current group as I feel it provides more of what we need and are looking for (setting is not a huge factor with this group). So...I need a set of the basic action cards for 5 people. Yes I will probably go home today and see what I have but I didn't know if anyone else has run into this situation and knows what I need to buy.

Here is what I have so far:

  • Core set
  • GM toolkit
  • Adventurer's toolkit
  • Winds of Magic
  • Signs of Faith
  • Gathering Storm.

What do I need to buy (not another Core set) to make sure I have enough basic actions for a group of 5 PCs?

Players Vault will give you all the action cards from the core set, so that's duplicates of all the regular actions plus 3 more sets of basic actions, not to mention duplicates of the career, talent and PC standups.

GM Vault gives you some extra dice, standups, wound, status cards and another set of basic action cards.

Personally I saw more value in the extra cards with the Players Vault.

Yeah I agree with Kryyst.

The Player's Vault is what you need. SO Much stuff in there.

My group goes from 5-6 people depending on the week. For "Basic Actions" check out the Official Support page. They have a PDF with all of the cards on it. Here is the direct link to the PDF.

I also found it handy to use a lot of the resources here:http://www.gitzmansgallery.com/

U go in less trouble if u forget them altoghether! just remove them from the game and pass around a sheet where each basic action is summarized for your players to memorize...
