so i'm writing a special rules summary PDF, and was wondering about the intent of fighting spirit. the rule says to treat all misses as hits when attacking, however it says nothing about counting the hits as misses,

so does fighting spirit increase your odds of hitting or does it it simply make the entire die hit?

miss results count as hits and miss results count as hits.

what if the die all ready had that ability plus a hero has fighting spirit do u roll die normally, do all dies automatically hit, or do u only use one of the abilities

I've finally got a reply for this question from FFG and wait for it....................they have declined to answer as no model has the Fighting Spirit rule, would it have been that difficult to answer?

I'm pretty sure that the answer is that it's spotter for heroes, except it's once per game, but it's also shared with the squad.

I'd guess if the squad already had spotter, it would have no effect. Stacking the two to make everything hits would definately be overpowered, even if once per game. (Laser Squads would go to infinite damage, and the BBQ squad would be nearly as bad.)

look in the revised core set rules on the ffg site. they even have badass in there also.

Can't see Fighting Spirit in there. A one-use ability would be fitting though, I gave the ability to a custom card and it is extremely powerful.

Both rules say treat misses as hits and hits as misses it never says if you have one swap to the other. It would be pointless to give a squad with spotter a hero with fighting spirit.

i was just askin it could be like a definative last resort for massive damage on a single unit
