Given the other Terrinoth games and the fact that Runewars is a reimplement of Battlemist, what other races/factions should be included? In my mind this includes races that could realistically get made in future expansions or just ones you think would be cool based on existing Terrinoth lore.
What other factions/races should be included in Runewars?
Well the two most popular around here are orcs and dwarves, for sure. There's even a pretty cool looking dwarf homebrew over on BGG already.
I gather there was a Dragon race in Battlemist which could certainly be rendered in Terrinoth, perhaps as a "historical" recreation of the Dragon Wars. Or perhaps the Dragonlords might return to try and conquer Terrinoth again - we know of at least a few Dragonlords who survived the first War, and there are others who were trapped in magic prison runes because they couldn't be killed by the mortal races.
Drawing on material from other games, there's the Onoit and the Wiek up north (at least the Wiek are probably suited for battle,) the Mahkim and Singhara/Leonines in Zanaga. There's a bunch of giants lead by a guy named Kyros. There is a group of amazon-type women hiding somewhere in the wild parts of the world, although its debatable if they're large enough to field an army (if they were they probably wouldn't be able to stay hidden as easily.)
I suppose (sigh) that the two known survivng Jef'a could - at least in theory - build an army of robots to join the fray (FFG, if you're reading this, please don't.)

I dunno, I think that would be cool. Frozen Wastes is probably my favorite RB expansion thus far. Not primarily because of that, but I like the "Final Fantasy"-esque feel that it has in some ways.
I guess, though, that since even in his times of Madness Arshan didn't seem bent on world conquest (just "revenge" on the Weik and Onoit for the supposed loss of Taira), it may not thematically make sense for him to join in the fray anyway, ESPECIALLY if/once he was reunited with the princess.

From a game mechanics point of view Frozen Wastes is great fun. Even from a story point of view it's not THAT bad, technically. I just have a hatred for the whole "technologically advanced sci-fi aliens crash landed on your magical fantasy planet" idea.
It's an entirely personal bias rooted primarily in the fact that I don't like these two settings to mix (generally.) There are some exceptions, but not many. Shadowrun managed to blend the two in a reasonably good manner. Arcane Legions tickles my fancy; something about the way Romans approached engineering and the sciences IRL allows me to forgive them building steampunk power armor in an alternate universe that includes magic. Bottom line that's probably exactly what the Romans would have done if they had had the means to make it happen.
