Mine got 2 copies in, one of which left with me the same day. they're really upset with me and the other two guys...

I would have undergone a night within a sack of weasels on meth for mine.

Our new group starts monday so we are super excited. The cover alone sells the book.

I was in line at walgreens picking up a prescription and some random guy even remarked how cool the art looked.

+10 willpower and siege master solo ability. you lose the betchers gland and sus-an membrane.

and they get the sons of dorn demeanour.

Is there more to chaplain then the teaser they have? I was really hoping for a fully developed specialty, maybe litanies simular to the Faith Talents of Adepta Sororitas.

oh yeah. the chaplain is a bad ass. He is a advanced specialty must be rank 4 I believe and some other requirements.

the adv. specialties are chaplain, dreadnought, epistolary, first company vet, watch commander, kill marine, black shield, forge master, and one more i think.

they all look cool.

this book is a must buy, seriously.

Once the creatures book is published later this year the setting will be complete!!!

+10 to a single stat? Interesting. Those IF libbys will be pleased.

Makes me consider that Space Wolves could have used a +10 Per rather than half of that and a Fel bonus.

Man I really hope one of our two my FLGS's have this! More importantly though I hope my wife lets me pick one up, lol!

I am pretty happy. gran_risa.gif

It'll likely be a month or two before my store has a few copies in.

Sometimes I hate being in Aus, takes forever to get anything here.

I got mine on Friday, I highly recommend it; definitely the best sourcebook for the 40K family of games since the Inquisitor's Handbook, and in my opinion better than that was.

and about the space wolf?

no news?

somebody have any idea for the stat of an eviscerator for my space wolf ???

1d10+12, Pen 6, Tearing, Unwieldy, Special (Fumble) should do the trick

There is no Space Wolf-specific content, although they and the Dark Angels can potentially take the Ritual Duelist Deed, in which your Marine took part in a ritual duel with a member of your rival Chapter. There is a table to determine the results of the duel, and various effects that can be applied to your character depending on the outcome of said duel.

I recall there being a couple Space Wolf relics as well, but I didn't read over that section closely yet.

I'd quite like to hear more about the deed mechanic which has been mentioned, and an example or two.

please tell to us about the new armor and weapons.....

Sacred nailclippings of Bjorn the Fellhanded

A Deed is something you did that made you exceptional back in your home chapter. They are purchased with your initial xp and range from 100-500 xp. All provide a minor benefit (some are clearly better than others), usually in skills and/or talents.

As an example, the Imperial Fists can elect to take Pain Glove Mastery for 100 xp. This gives them Hardy and Iron Jaw in exchange for 1d5 Insanity and a permanent loss of 1 Wound. This one's not a bad deal at all.

Can one pick up more than one deed? i vaguely recall seeing somewhere, that it is limited to one deed on character creation, is there a limit ? is the limit only for starting characters ? For instance i can imagine Imperial fists taking the glove even after they join Deathwatch, just for the warm and cozy feeling of being glorified masochists.

What about the forge master? What else could they possibly tack on a techmarines back....oh wait, a back mounted servitor with lascannons for arms, sorry I forgot. Is there any specialties for my apothecary, I would like the kill team to yell something other than "medic" when they get hurt, maybe when they come out of the fear induced coma they could say "screw you guys im going to see my shrink" (I think I should get a leather couch as standard gear).

But Seriously this book is taking way to long to get here.

Probably not nail-clippings, given the Chapter's inspiration...
