A location card for the Black Cave gives you a chance to join "One of the Thousand" Cult membership, to do so, have you got to discard at least 2 toughness worth of Monster trophies plus either an Ally or 3 Stamina or is it one from the choice of three.

You may join the One of the Thousand Cult if you lose 3 Stamina, discard an Ally, OR two toughness of monster trophies. You can choose from these three options.
