l drew a Myphos card with a Gate Burst, l moved all Monsters as usual, one was a Flying Monster which was moved to the sky. lt says in the rules that all Flying Monsters move when a Gate Burst in drawn, do l move the Flying Monster again, if there is a lnvestigator in the streets?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no. I've never heard anything suggesting that they could get double mythos movement. Ask Tibs?
Also, again, Mythos ;')
The way I play, a monster either moves or it doesn't. It never double-moves.

What about with Dark Druid?
[Edit: nmind that last bit, I just reread DD and realized you must have meant with gate bursts only].
So you are saying if a Flying Monster moves as part of its symbol it does not move again in a Gate Burst.

Almost definitely not (I think). But I wish there were official clarification on this point. There might actually be somewhere, but I can't remember off the top of my head (I was hoping Tibs would).
Really? ::shocked:: I've always played this in the wrong way. During the monsters movement, on gate bursts I've always moved the flyers *before* checking the dimensional symbols. Then, if their symbol showed up, I moved them again. Oh, man, I think I just love making life more difficult ::laughing::
...I figured the "movement" part is resolved when everything ELSE would move. Which appears to be the right answer. Looks like some people like to make things complicated just because it involves Arkham o_O

There is one other question l have regarding Gate Bursts. lt says in the rules this does not cause a monster surge.
1) Does it mean if a gate bursts open removing a elder sign, in which case there would not be a gate there in the first place to cause a monster surge.
2) lf a gate burst cannot open as there is already a gate there, does this mean there is no monster surge if it is a gate burst card.
Answer 1.
Why mention it at all in the rules, if you have an elder sign in a location you cannot have a gate there as well so if there is no gate there in the first place how can you have a monster surge.

Heh, something I managed to play right for once ::wipes sweat off forehead:: I almost thought I had yet again made another mistake. I would be too ashamed too lift my head if I did.

Finally, the rules will go in your favor ;') and your Atlach herald will become a little easier.

::laughing:: actually, The Weaver of Worlds + Atlach make all flyers to become fast monsters, so they move twice, regardless of this
l refer to reply 9, 10, 11, in this thread, l ask again, why mention it in the rules if it is not relevant, or am l missing something obvious.

... Unfortunately, many things are not in the rules that are quite relevant... One of these days the comprehensive FAQ (which is also missing certain things) will be released. It will be larger than the game manual ;'D
