If you can chew through Lord of the Rings the Inquistion War trilogy wasn't that bad, I really don't remember homo-erotic tones for Lexandro, I remember him being pretty badass (I may have skimmed past butt brands, Mr Watson's writing was very... well very much like a slightly more action oriented Tolkien... totally off topic though lol, it's a good read for those of us who didn't start the whole 40k thing until 3rd ed or later. I should have my copy in a few hours (thank you to whoever first posted frpgames! I never knew, and now I do, and knowing is half the battle!)

But back to topic, how difficult is it to get the non mk7 power armours ? high requisition costs ? especially for the older marks.

There are no requisition costs for PA. You instead roll a d10 to see which MK of PA you get (Or if the GM is nice enough, allow you to choose). It goes from IV to VIII, with MKVI and MKVII being the most common. MK I-III are exceedingly rare so they are only allowed by the GM through the game or under special circumstances. There are also 3 armor tables in addition to the 1 they give you in the main corebook. On one of the armor tables, it allows you to have pieces from other MK of armor like a helmet from a MK II, or a leg piece from a MK VI.

I am also greatly impressed by the vehicle section. I think just about every pattern of the landraider is in. All patterns of the landspeeder, Two rhino patterns. Two predator patterns, The Whirlwind. Even a Warhound Titan.

There are also strategic assets you can now get like lance strike, close air support, orbital insertion, upon GM approval and mission circumstances. And they are divided into category of Imperial Navy, Imperial Guard, Inquisition, and Adeptus Astartes.

Great one can mix armour parts, i love that. And both scout titan and strategic assets sounds like a lot of fun

I forgot to mention, there are also rules now for those players that want to go without a helmet. You get the standard disadvantages of going without a helmet (i.e. no armor on the head and the suit isn't environmentally sealed), but you get a minor bonus on fel and test to prevent cohesion damage. Also upon GM's discretion, you can gain a bonus point of renown whenever renown is awarded.

Funny you mention about the Space Wolves and the helmet thing, because now for no requisition, Space Wolves can get the Fenris Pattern Wolf Helm, which functions exactly like a normal helmet, except they can use their solo mode ability while wearing their helmet.

However you do have to have a respected renown rank.
