I do think allowing fists/unarmed access to weapon-required action cards (even the basic strike) makes untrained unarmed combat more deadly, so beware getting into a barroom brawl!

Well not to nit pick but in a barroom ball with tables, chairs, glass bottles and various other misc. at the hand it's far more believable that action cards would come into play, as well as heavy use of perform a stunt.

But anyway - yeah the topic is done to death.

Most people would prefer to use an improvised weapon instead of a fist anyway, so this big issue may never arise gran_risa.gif

But actually it's cool if the players happend to beat someone to death while in a tavern brawl. That could really be hard to get out off and could be some great stuff for the story.
"Why did you kill him?" The captain of the guard asks.
"I did not mean to... Promise!"

**** happends. ;)

And it wouldn't be strange either. It actually happends in the real world too. A fist isn't effective against plate armor of course... but neither is a quarterstaff.
