I also just got Android for Christmas firmly marking me as a fan boy. My question is which TOI item should I bust out first? While there is something to be said about setting up a scenario and playing right away, the pull of opening a new box and bits is strong. Thoughts?

The designer series book you can use without learning anything new other than the quirks of the various scenario special rules. With the Normandy expansion there are some game changers there so the curve may be longer.
