Bound by the Light

Response: After attached character is killed, search your deck for another Asshai character of equal or lower printed cost and put it into play. Then, shuffle your deck.

How should we read "another" in this context? "different" or "additional"? In other words: can I take another copy of Mel if Mel dies? There is no "different title" condition and I'm not native speaker. Also, the picture tells me "you can" gui%C3%B1o.gif.

Seriously, though, "another" usually refers to individual cards in this game, not to individual titles. Compare this card to "Bound By Blood," where "and a different title" is clearly specified on the card. You can go get another copy of the same card that Bound by the Light is attached to.

You could take another copy of Mel if Mel dies, but you probably won't want to. When you trigger the attachment's Response effect, your dead Mel will still be on the table - in moribund. So your new copy of Mel will enter play as a dupe on your moribund copy, where it will do you no good. She's already moribund (so you can't save her), so that second (dupe) copy will just be discarded.

LOL Obviously. I don't know what I was thinking.
