lady daenery's chambers

Response: After you play a HT character, return an attachment with printed cost equal to or lower than that character from your discard pile to your hand.

when core set khal drogo or when you put a card into play with ambush can use us the chamber ablity?

In melee if your running the knight of the hollow hill ageda can u pick the master of coin and still get the plue 2 gold?

no the chambers are very specific that you can only use the Response when you play a character you only play a character when it is your turn as the active player in marshaling and you pay the gold cost (reduced or otherwise) for the card from your hand everything else like khal drogo ambush etc. are put into play effects these are not the same thing since you did not play a card when you used these put into play effects the play restrictions for the chambers are not met and you cannot use the effect

keep the distinction between play and put into play in mind when looking at cards like xaro's home and balerion the black too

yes when you are dealing with titles it is not the card that provides the benefit it is the role the cards represent the role and what the rules say that role can do I mean you could be using the statues and game board from the core set to indicate and keep track of the titles instead of the cards right so it is not the master of coin card that is giving you the +2 so it is not blocked by the agenda.

Well, neither was I the target, nor have I ever been in need of convincing regarding those things, but I still have a headache now. Talk about collateral damage. ;)

P.S. Before you ask - yes, it is a bigger headache than I usually get from your answers. ;)

P.P.S. Nothing compared to the one the Abandoned Fort thread gave me, though.

I have to admit to getting a few shrapnels in my head too. But, I think in this case the cause justifies the means. :)

Does playing a duplicate of a unique character during Marshaling count as playing that character for the purposes of Responses like Lady Daenerys's Chamber's? Or does the fact that it becomes a "duplicate" and not a "character" once it hits the table mean it does not?

Playing a duplicate is considered to be playing a duplicate. You do not play a character when you dupe a unique card. So you cannot use LDC to Respond to playing a duplicate.

Thanks, that's what I figured, but I wasn't seeing it when I tried to look it up, so I figured I'd ask.
