So I invaded the Tricorn

By RedSkull, in Dark Heresy Gamemasters

Ok so I may have gone a little full tilt on this one but my PCs are high enough lvl and the direction the game was going something drastic had to be done. This idea was going to be used a long time ago for the radicals adventure idea....however I didn't get it all together in time....now just looking for feed back.

So the PCs are brought in from their last mission to discuss what happened...forced to wait in a plain room with no weapons....suddenly explosions rock the the building...their is screaming....gun fire...etc....

The front doors have been blown open and in pours the Pilgrims of Hayte.....huge battle in the courtyard GO......

All this is really just a diversion for a radical group of Issvanians to gain access to the lower lvls of the tricorn... The goal is for them to acquire part of the information connected to the Amalathians....since they are supposed to have information collected that could pose a threat to the entire sector and it involves the tyrantine cabal.

The PCs at the time aren't connected to the radicals at the time ( I did write it out so the PCs could have been the ones sneaking into the tricorn to steal the information) and give chase to the ship making for orbit...... pretty much open ended to go anywhere.... Mostly tracking this other team down and then having to choose what to do when presented with the uncovered plot. gran_risa.gif

Any questions? or ideas of what to add (i know its a very wire frame look)

If I rememeber correctly the novel Innocence proves Nothing describes a multitude of entry points for the Tricorn or at leeast the area around it. The three towers of the Tricorn that are associated to the three different Holy Ordos (i.e. Hereticus, Xenos, Malleus) though have a single major gateway guarded by two Sororitas in case of the Hereticus Tower, two Deathwatch Marines in case of Xenos and two whatever (certainly not Grey Knights though) in case of Malleus. Actually I even find Deathwatch Marines as guards a little far-fetched, but it's the sector headquarter of the Inquistion after all. Then there are a multitude of Battle-Servitors and most probably a lot of martially minded Acolytes and Throne Agents as well as Inquisitorial Storm Troopers around, so that on the long run any intruder would be dispatched rather fast.

I would use something more powerful than the Pilgrims of Hayte to storm the Tricorn- a full company of high-end xeno-mercenaries kitted out with drastic firepower and their own gunships would be more fitting IMO...

I did have a good number of warp horrors mixed into the Pilgrims to cause some extra trouble
