Hello everybody,

Yesterday I played my first game of Cosmic Encounter. Ony of the players had the Loser power. So we came upon two questions:

1. The card states the you have to play an attack card if possible. But can you still use the Loser power if you dont have such a card at your hand ?

2. If the Loser player plays a negotiation card and uses his power to switch winner / loser, will the opponent player still get compensations ?

Hopefully you can help me out with this questions.

Short answer: 1. Yes, 2. No.

Loser is a beast when he runs out of attacks. The Negotiate says to claim compensation for how many ships you lost to warp, and if you win, you don't lose ships. Same goes for Pacifist's power if he wins by N.
