Drunken Allegations

By Rogue30, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

When revealed, choose an opponent. Then, you and that opponent must each choose and kneel a standing character.

I have a doubt: Effect resolves at the same time, so can both opponents choose the same standing character?

As my understanding of the game goes, you kneel your characters, while your opponent kneels his/her character. This card offers you a choice, not a kneel-anyone effect!

It is not a kneel-anyone effect but it is kneel-anyone-standing effect. You are probably thinking about paying costs (only with your cards).

Dunno. Wouldn't the First Player decide who goes first? Seems logical to me.

Apart from that, I just realised that you're right. Any standing players can be chosen. I'd always misinterpreted the text in the same way as trumpets did, and kinda dismissed the plot as being of limited value. But it's actually great for melee, for when two players want to gang up on a third one.

On a completely unrelated note, Rogue30, it's good to see you back, and that your card DB is back online, too. Had me worried for a sec there.

So as soon as character #1 is chosen as a target (by Player #1), it becomes ineligible to be chosen again as character #2 (by Player #2).

Thtat's what I thought and I'm glad that I didn't "cheat" at european championships gui%C3%B1o.gif. The little doubt I had was because all examples above are related to moribund "cannot leave play again" thing, and other examples are always "you control", and targeting is step 1 and resolving step 3 etc., so I prefered to ask.

already

One is not an extension of the other because the "cannot leave play again" thing only applies when a card is already moribund.

Right. I was thinking too much about can't kill twice concept.

Yes, thank you very much Rogue30, yours is the only card DB that isn't blocked by my work's security filters.

Both mine and dabbler are blocked? The way these net filters work always facinates me that it catches some small sites and not others. Makes me wonder what it keys off of to determine that it needs to block it.

Yup, they are both blocked for being "uncategorized"
Ours is pretty ridiculous to be honest, it even blocks "cultural institutions" but somehow I can still get to the whole FFG site even though it typically blocks "forums and social networking"

You want a fun one? I work in the Oncology department of a hospital, but I get blocked out of a lot of cancer advocacy and support sites - especially the breast cancer sites. Three guesses why...gui%C3%B1o.gif

Skowza,

It's interesting the sites are "uncategorized". Would you happen to know the company that does the categorization for your firewall? Such companies could have a system of notification to evaluate a submitted site.
