One fist question

By Jack and THE Hammer, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

did'nt found anithing around about it so here i'm again :)

One fist can always make a secondary attack with his claw using a red and a green dices.

Are the power dices used in this special attack?

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but either mean didn't 'look' for anything, or you need some serious work on your search-fu! This one is probably going in the FAQ because despite clear answers in the rules it is a "frequently" asked question.

Yes. It is explicitly a melee attack, and so he uses his melee trait dice.

thank you.

about the search tool, i've tried to write "one fist" as key word in "descent" forums but it show me only 1 result, and it was a topic whrere one guy was talking about "the perfect" party and one of theme was one fist, so i search in the faq file using the same keyword, but without succes. i dont know, maybe i miss something or the search tool of this forum is not so good -_- .

but i've appreciated your help anyway :)

Hmm as i see it one fist is great on vanilla but pretty unplayable in the campaign as the campaign advances to silver and gold where his attack can only scratch creatures. But that is pretty normal as most players where made before the advanced campaign (hmm pretty much everyone except the TOI).

But if you upgrade your melee dice it is still good (plus using fatigue for more upgrades on an attack...)

you really want to compare an attack with a silver or gold weapon against an attack that surges do nothing? Even with 5 gold dices you get an average of 12.3 that is even lame for a copper weapon. If you compare that with the average damage you will get with the same dice with a gold or silver weapon that ranges from an average of 25 to 45 damage combine that with the inability to arm all the cool 2 handed weapons and no shield he is the worst fighter that i can think off for an RTL campaign i would even pick the strong dude over him. So with a normal mix of 4 silver dices you will get by the gold level you will do an average of 8.8 damage which is kinda ridiculous and at best you will be able to kill a silver skeleton and scratch anything else to boredom.

I you give One Fist damage enhancing skills and items he can actually be pretty good. His extra attack can come in pretty handy to finish off a wounded enemy.

Don't mind Corbon. He seems to have some sort of allergic reaction to people daring to ask questions he's already answered. It's compounded if they have the audacity not to have instantaneous understanding of the rules and are asking a question that can be answered by a careful reading of the book (assuming no language barriers of course).

The search functions on this forum really do suck. For that matter, **** near every function on these forums really sucks. You can get pretty good results through Google though. Just add "site:http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/" to your search terms and it will only return hits from this site. Usually that means the forums, though you may get some hits from articles as well.

For example: one fist power dice site:http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/
