[RH] Unclean spirits = cannot be "hosted"?

By Gregorius21778, in Dark Heresy Rules Questions

Greetings, brethern,

I was just trying to build some "minor daemons host" based on the "pick-you-dameon-and-host-him" rules in the RH.

As by the book, binding reduces Strength and Toughness.
What happens if one the attributes would hit zero? Would the host die/wither/collapse/ be destroyed?
What about daemonic entities that already have zero strenght (the unclean spirit)? Are they unbindeable?

Unclean Spirits barely classify as daemons - they are warp entities, but they are specifically mentioned to not have the "reality changing powers of true daemons".

Generally when your dealing with daemonhosts they are not binding the daemons you see listed in the books; they are binding incredibly powerful and dangerous entities. Most of the daemons you see directly listed are questionably sentient, and dangerous more so because of their nature than their actual selves. Binding daemons reduces their stats because less of the daemonic entity is manifesting/changing the host, and more of it becomes the actual host body.

I would not use things like Unclean Spirits for daemonhosts, used them for possessed victims and such like that.

There was a design diary for RH where they used said rules for a daemon listed in the core rules (the Dispayrer).

And still just saying, fluff wise, its generally not those kind of things your dealing with when making the archtypical Daemonhost. :P If you want to use them by all means go ahead though - they don't even fall under the previous problem where stat's hit zero, nor do they have the issue of basically just being malevolent spirits as they are de facto daemons. Unclean Spirits can't even directly interact with the PC party, they tend to be more poltergeist looking things based on what their rules are (phasing, spirit form, no psychic abilities able to directly affect flesh, no weapons, no strength).
