Rogue Trader: Resurgence Organisation Page

This is the campaign organisation for the upcoming game of RT I'm running. Everyone, post in here to sort out characters, call dibs on roles, as well as build your ship by consensus (if that's possible.) Currently, planning to run it Thursday 20.30-0.00 EST, but that might or might not change depending on schedules.

Rogue Trader: Resurgence

It is the year 813.M41, and there is only war. Though born to an illustrious dynasty, your status as the scion of a minor branch meant that you would never have the chance to be the Rogue Trader of your family.. until now.

A hundred and twenty seven standard imperial years ago, your great-grandfather Pius set out with his flotilla in search of a legendary prize, supposedly wrested from the grasp of the Archenemy and redeemed by the hands of a saint, then lost by cruel mischance.

Of course, he never returned.

For over a hundred years now the family has strove to keep going in the face of rival dynasties slowly nibbling away at the edges, in the firm belief that someday, Pius, or his heirs, would return. There is always a breaking point, however, and this is it. The great Pius has to be considered lost to the warp, along with his mighty fleet, and you must now lead your House back to glory!

If only it were that easy.

When Pius set out, naturally, he took with him the Charter of Trade aboard his flagship Unrestrained Judgement, as his symbol of rank and power. With the Charter lost, there is no longer any claim you - or your dynasty can make to be a Rogue Trader. As such, in desperation, all remaining resources were pooled for one final throw of the dice. You, your crew, and your ship.

Reclaim the ancient Charter that gives you your birthright. Redeem your dynasty before it sinks into oblivion.. or worse, obscurity.

Go forth, Rogue Trader, and conquer.

Profit Factor/Ship Points: 30/60 (Alternatively, if everyone agrees, we could use the democratic 'Ship and Warrant Path' as per Into The Storm.

Character Generation method: Either roll one up through http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/, or standard pointbuy chargen as per RT corebook. Standard Rank 1 chars.

Also, forgot to mention this, but everyone's allowed one deviation from the standard Origin Path. Also, alternate careers / packages from Into The Storm are perfectly fine.

One more modification: All characters start with 1000 XP to spend. This includes the 500 XP you get at character creation, making your spent XP total a maximum of 5,500 XP.

For the age of the warrant/ship, I've picked The Age of Rebirth (SP 12, PF 10, one Archaeotech component may be bought)

So first up is Fortinbras (Fortune/Fate), then Jessica (Acquisition), then Bram (Sanction), followed by Mark (Contacts) and finally Andy (Warrant Reknown).

My RT gets +3 SP for his origin, and I call Struggling, +6 SP, +4 PF

For Aquisition level i chose Administratum Trade Mandate SP +10 and PF +4, also my char adds +2 Profit factor from her homeworld and background

Bram chooses Meritech Wars for Sanction. +8 SP, +6 PF

Right. Bram picked Meritech Wars for Sanctioning. That brings us to..

SP/PF totals: 39/26 (One archaeotech component may be purchased.)

Correct me in the event that this is woefully mistaken. Also, Mark is up.

Well, so we've got a warrant from the earliest ages of the aftermath of the Horus Heresy, granted by the Administratum with probably incredibly vast-ranging powers. This dynasty then fought and gained great reknown in the wars against the Meritech clans apparently, proving the foresight of the Administratum in granting the mandate.

My 2 friends Andy and Mark have chosen posting them in Order.

Mark > Adeptus Mechanicus Contacts +10 SP, +4 PF

Andy> Famous +14 SP +4 PF

this all adds up for a Final Tally 63 Ship Points, and 34 Profit Factor!

Just curious, and feel free to tell me to go get stuffed, but are you limiting them now to only being able to purchase a Teleportarium for their Archeotech component, or was that a typo?

Another thing. The Living Castle site. I decided to check it out; always like finding a new game resources, and created a registry. It doesn't seem to allow me to log in at all. I think I shall contact the mods or what not, but I thought it was weird.
