RTL - entire party or each hero gets stuff

By Falculus, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

My friends and I will be starting our first RTL campaign soon, so I have been reading through the rules trying to get a handle on the new Advanced Campaign rules. I am confused on how much stuff the hero party gets in certain situations. For example:

Rulebook page 10: “If the heroes end their movement in a dungeon area, they receive one conquest token if they’ve never been to that area before.” When I first read this I assumed that exactly one conquest token was placed in the party's communal pool.

Rulebook page 13 Example: “Upon arrival, if the party has not entered this location before, the heroes each receive one conquest token as a reward for exploration.” OK, so I guess I was wrong, and now I am thinking that whenever the rules use the phrase "they receive" or "the heroes receive" it means "each hero receives."

Rulebook page 14: “…when a hero deals the killing blow to an encounter’s leader, the heroes receive 100 coins and 2 conquest points.” OK, got it, this really means that the party will get 400 coins and 8 CP's, right?

Rulebook page 15: “The only conquest tokens the heroes can receive are the two awarded for killing the leader.” Hmmm...now I am questioning my earlier conclusion again. Maybe it is only 2 CP's into the pool.

Can someone help me out? How much "stuff" (CP's, coins, etc) does the party get in certain situations?

There are two separate entities to track: conquest and XP. Whenever a conquest award is handed out it goes into the conquest pool. Each hero has an amount of XP equal to the conquest pool minus what he's spent.

OK, I understand that difference (I think). So how much conquest goes into the conquest pool when (1) the party enters a dungeon area that they have never been to before and (2) when a hero deals a killing blow to an encounter's leader?

1. 1CT. The pg13 example is an error.

2. 2CT.

There is no situation where the CT reward is multiplied out. None.
The only situation where the cash reward is multiplied out is coinpiles. They are still 100 coins per hero (as per base rules), or simply 400 for the party treasury. In all other cases the cash reward is not multiplied.

Great, thanks Corbon. That is very clear.
