Tannhauser for Beginners...

By Miah999, in Tannhauser

Awesome stuff as always Miah.

Used your smoke FAQ to settle a rules debate tonight.

I'm very happy to hear it was helpful.

May I ask, what was the debate about?

Primarily about ranged atacks into / out of smoke.

Also your bingo marker idea is good,

Thanks for the fine tutorials. :-)

They help to clarify some ruling questions.

But there is one point of the smoke grenades which seems counter intuitive to me: When there are two characters on two adjacent circles, one filled up with smoke and the other not, so has the character on the field with smoke a -2 dies penalty to attack the other character. But this one on the clear field has no penalty by attacking the character on the field in the smoke, although both characters has the same conditions fighting each other in "real life". But this are the rules, or did I understand something wrong?

Your right Oberst, if your in smoke and attack an adjacent character, who is not in smoke you still suffer the -2 dice penality.

It's a little contrived, but as the rules currentlly stand that's how it works.

And agian Thanks Solomance.

Thank you for information. I will share with my daughter who is just learning to play Tannhauser.

Thanks for all this stuff. I just snagged the game off eBay for 30 bucks shipped, including the updated rulebook (tooting my own horn here) and I am really pumped to get this in front of my group!

Thanks for your tactic stadies, they're much accurate.

Excellent post. Thanks for the info.
