A small question about careers.

By guest461286, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

The Advance options in each Career sheet indicates how many times a player can invest advance points to purchase Skill,Talent, wound etc. as long as he follow this career? If my career states that I could buy two Talents and I buy them do both count toward completing the career?I ask this because I will write them on the same line in the Advancement Worksheet and as the rules state that a character will complete his career if he fills all ten available advances in the worksheet.

Sorry if I confused you.

Yeah, they both count and you should put them on separate lines. There are ten advances in the career sheet Advances box, and there are ten slots on the character sheet General Career Advances section, *but* these don't correspond because 4 of the slots are allocated to mandatory advances ( Action Card, Talent, Skill..., and Wound). Therefore you can only take 6 of the Career sheet Advances.

So, if you have 2 Talents on the Career sheet, you must make at least one Talent advance (the mandatory one), but you can make up to 3 because the other 2 are optional.

Sorry but I am still confused. If my career have 0 to wounds in the advance options it means that as long as I follow this career I could not buy more wounds for my character. Is this right?

No, you will *have to* buy 1 Wound because one of the slots on your character sheet General Career Advances section is already marked in for Wounds (and only wounds).

So what are those numbers in the advance options of each career for?

Those are the maximum of each type of advance (in addition to the mandatory advances) you can gain during your career.

That makes it clear! Thanks for your support (and patience).

No Problem :)
