Hey tonight i pulled the skill Mental Fortitude: (Any Phase: After making any Horror check, exhaust to add 1 success to the result. Upkeep: This card does not refresh unless you spend all of your Focus to do so.) It seemed a little too powerful considering to pass most (or all?) horror checks you only need 1 success. Do you need to be able to roll at least 1 die during the Horror Check to be able to attempt the check? or does the skill pretty much say (You pass all Horror Checks?) I was playing with a high fight low will character but i played the game as if i needed one die to roll my horror check.

Nope: as long as the card is available, you essentially get one free "pass" to a Horror check. You don't need to roll any dice.

Yes, the Kingsport specialty skills are quite powerful (except maybe Ancient Language, as you need to have a spell to use it).

Strong? Yes, but with its drawbacks. You can only use it once, and to refresh it you can't use your focus on your skills. That's not TOO bad of a drawback, but you better hope you don't draw an "Addiction" card or anything :-x

yeah its a pretty sweet card then for low sanity characters... or in general...
