Like Julia said, you can use it and go insane, but keep in mind that when you go insane you lose half your clue tokens (rounded down)...pretty sure that would include the ones you just got for using the item.

Yeah, unless you choose to instead get a Madness card from the Dunwich expansion.

Edit: Actually, come to think of it, this may be a houserule we're using: It makes sense to us that since you don't lose any items, you also don't lose any clue markers. It's not really stated anywhere, though, IIRC.

DH Rulebook, pag 6: "When an investigator is reduced to 0 Stamina, he may choose to gain an Injury card. If he does this, he does not lose any items or Clue tokens for being knocked unconscious". The only loss you should suffer - even if you draw an Injury / Madness - are Retainers

unless you draw the Amnesia card, but that would just be the game being evil..

Blech. Give me double vision anytime, just not Amnesia! Or at least the Innsmouth board so I can buy research materials...

Hello:

So, my fellow players want to start an "escenario" game. I know there is no league and i am quite confused by a lot of things but anyway we will give it a try. Now i own the following: Base game, king in yellow, and next week innsmouth horror and lurker at the threshold. Is there any campain scenario avaliable with this 4 ingredients? or 3 or 2?
