Just two quotes:
"Well, that was unexpected..."
and
"NOBODY EXPECTS IMPERIAL INQUISITION!"
Nice too see some support for Ascension, by the way:)
My major criticism of Blood of Martyrs - a book I adore, BTW - was the complete lack of Ascension Level support. My criticism of Ascension in general has always been the way the Sisters were essentially forgotten about beyond a "
Uhh... just be a Crusader?
" comment. This renders all my concerns and criticisms moot.
Thanks Mack. This is fantastic.

And the Mantle of Ophelia finally answers all the "What is the non-genderbending woman of our group supposed to do during our Deathwatch games?" questions.
I'm not sure about the special rules for the flame hammer and fire lance. The toughness penetration rule seems more complex than necessary, giving +3 damage while the weapon still had promethium would have the same effect on almost everything, the exceptions being the weakest of creatures.
Then there is the cauterising rule. Energy weapons are hot enough that their critical effects include the target catching fire or his ammo cooking off, while also including blood loss. These weapons are apparently not hot enough to set the foe on fire, but are hot enough to cauterise the wound.

Well, testers aren't allowed to talk about things cut from books, so I only gave suggestions for stuff that had been released
I'm glad the Ascended career got released though, and doing so as a free download makes more sense than having in Blood of Martyrs, since it can be applied to the IHB SoB career too.

We're not? I guess that's one of the things I'll have to learn. Then again, I just got recruited, so I don't have anything to test yet.

Nice one
Which gameline? DH, RT or DW? That way I know whether you'll know what I know
Either way, I'm looking forward to actually getting to the point in my DH game that we'll actually get to use Ascension and so use this career for the BoM SoB character that's in that group!
It's nice to see Fantasy Flight devoting so much time and effort into the Warhammer RPG. I was concerned about a lack of Ascension-level Sororitas, but FF took care of that one time quick!
BTW, Blood of Martyrs rocks! So this is just the icing on the cake.
This is a great web-supplement. Thanks FFG!
Between the power armour and the mantle of Unnatural Toughness, this really is a huge "Look, you can play a woman in Deathwatch, are you happy now?" So, hopefully people are. This is a very nice supplement (with some flavoursome weaponry at the end).
I have to say, though, I don't understand people's issue with men playing women in RPGs, and vice versa. In some of our games, no one is playing their own gender. If I can imagine myself in the grim dark future, why is it suddenly such a step to put myself in the shoes of the opposite sex?
The Battle Sister of our group is already a male player.
Well, some people don't like playing against their gender. I don't tend to because I don't really know how to play a woman. I would just end up playing them the same (which is fine, but then why bother playing as a woman?). I often tend to play the women in computer RPGs, but then they are different. The fact that I play them the same doesn't seem in issue to me then. The only female player in my RPG group has consistently played a female character in every game we've played (though we are about to play Deathwatch and so she now has no choice).
Then you have the type of person (usually male) who will basically act the pervert when playing the opposite gender. Not ever had that in my games, but I have heard tales of it.
There are many gamers who are both willing and mature enough to play against their gender, but just as many generally want the option to play as their gender (but then if it is a woman who insists on it I am not sure why they are playing Deathwatch... so I don't really think it is that much of an issue in this case).
I was glad to see the stats for the Firehammer and the Flamelance show up. I guess they were intended to be cut in BoM , but remained mentioned in the melee weapons table.
