Opening Doors and Activating Monsters in New Area Question

Revealing New Areas, #5

"The monsters that were revealed in the new area, may not activate until the OL's next turn (or until he plays a card that allows immediate activation)." [emphasis mine]

My initial interpretation was this.

Hero A does double movement and opens door to new area. Play stops. OL reads text, places monsters, and tokens accordingly onto board. Hero A resumes turn and moves into new area.

OL takes turn, does not move newly discovered monsters in newly revealed area. OL moves other monsters previously in play, or plays spawn cards and other cards as normal. OL ends turn.

Hero A takes his turn, does actions (including attacking newly revealed monsters). Hero A ends turn.

OL can finally move or attack with monsters from the newly revealed area.

Is this understanding accurate? I feel it drastically impedes the OL's power and ability to retaliate against a party. I would totally agree with anyone if I was wrong, in fact, I hope I am.

Desperately need accurate answers to confusing circumstances, Thanks in advance.

If an area were somehow revealed during the overlord's turn, that could arguably mean that he can't activate the monsters until the following turn.

But if the area is revealed during a hero's turn, as is usually the case, then "the overlord's next turn" is the one that starts when the heroes are finished, not the one after that. It's just saying that the monsters don't interrupt the hero's turn.

That's what we thought, thanks for the explanation!
