Rune Master

Hello good Sir,

VERY creative thinking here. I really like this type of thinking "outside of the box". Overall Rune Master seems balanced and very interesting to play.

I will playtest him and let you know my further conclusions.

Hello Drenik and thank you for this. If people like playing the Rune Master or just the concept, then he might be the next miniature I will be sculpting.

Anyway I am pretty sure that the next miniature will be a dwarf.

This one is very interesting in its alternative spell use. I like alternative options that lean on the game's own components and mechanics.

Just a question though. You've put down that you can only use rune powers in your turn. Obviously, if a spell is cast on you during somebody else's turn you would be able to counter it.

Actually the idea was that he couldn't. My thougth was that the rune powers shouldn't be as powerful as spells. Spells are more randomly and rune powers are more controlled (You know what you get). You can see it like this, he has to prepare more to use a rune than a spell caster casting a spell. He is not as fast on the trigger as a spell caster.

Another reason not to allow him is if he gets an "always one spell ability" (like Magic Wand) he would become too powerful.

Anyway, he is not yet playtestet, so things may still change.

A change could be to replace "you can only use rune powers in your turn" to "You can only use one rune power each turn (- or round)".

yea hes a really neat character but i think wat counterspell does should also be on the card for quickreference
