How does the scatter rule work with the semi auto rules, with a combat shotgun for example? Do you roll once and use that roll to figure the number of hits from both or does one cancel the other out?
Scatter weapons and semi auto.
Its explained in the errata. They stack. If you roll four degrees of success that means you hit two more times with Semi-Auto, and two more times due to Scatter.

This is correct. And is also the reason why the Vanaheim -pattern assault shotgun commonly employed by the Skittari in the Calixis is rather scary. It is full-auto capable ( IHB page 134).
