Here in my home town we have a rather nice civic venue that would perfect for a day's Call of Cthulhu playing. It would take a little time to set up but I'm curious whether anyone would be interested and would you be willing to travel?
It wouldn't be anything as grandiose as Stahlek but I think it would be good to have an annual UK tournament. Any thoughts or opinions, one way or other?

Yes I would be very interested in a U.K. tournament and would be willing to travel if the date was convenient.
I am from Barnoldswick Lancs and really struggle to find other people to play against. My "local" stores (Huddersfield and Manchester) are too far away to get to regualrly and hardly anyone plays there anyway. I play other card games but have always been fascinated by Lovecraftian things and played the RPG for years when I was younger.
I have collected the cards, black and white bordered, avidly but have only played a few casual games with friends who play MTG etc and are not really interested in CoC. So I may not be the most experienced or competitive player but I certainly have the enthusiasm!
Look forward to further info about this possible event and hope there are more people who would be interested.

Have you tried Facebook or other social networking sites?
Might be worth a try once you have a rough idea of date and venue to post it as an upcoming event.
I plan to use Facebook to do so. At the moment I'm just scouting out any interest from UK players on these boards.
As I mentioned we have a good venue here in town that would work, but to make it viable (I know the costs from using the rooms there for a 40K club recently) we'd need about 20 players at least, including the 6 local players I have.
I don't know if this will work since FB changed how their groups function but here is the link to FB.
Well you can certainly count me in on a UK tournament.
Just an idea, but it might be worth mentioning it in the AGOT and Warhammer forums. Some of those guys might mainly play one of the other games, but might play Cthulhu casually and want to come along.

I'm interested in any tournament that is in an area easy to reach and announced at least one month in advance. I have no problem to travel to UK from Amsterdam, but obviously if the tournament is in the middle of nowhere it might be not convenient

I'm in St. Neots which is a town just outside of Cambridge. Cambridge has an airport so should be easy to reach for any Europeans making the trip.
We have a travel lodge and a couple good B&B's as well.
